"As for me and my house we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15
The Robinson Residence is coming along, y'all! Our family is filled with so much excitement and immense gratitude to see our family home come to life. We have had a lot of patience these past 2-3 years, and I am just in awe that in a few short months we will call this place we have designed from the ground up, our home. All the glory goes to God. ALWAYS. He has blessed us tremendously our entire lives and there's just no way we could ever possibly repay Him. However, our family will dedicate our life to Him and live by His word. From the start of our home build, we knew once the framing of the house was put up, we wanted to pick out our favorite scripture and put them in certain rooms in our home. Right when you walk in, in our foyer and underneath our main staircase, we picked Joshua 24:15 as is states: "As for me and my house we will serve the Lord." And that is exactly in fact what our family will do. We will build our life upon His love. He is our firm foundation.
"Love is patient, Love is kind."
1 Corinthians 13
Brett and I both agreed and really loved this Bible Verse for our Master Suite. It is a simple yet crucial reminder for everyday life in marriage. Just as His word states, Love is Patient and Love is Kind. Life with 4 young kids, Brett running his own companies, and me being a full time stay at home mom + homeschool teacher.... life gets busy. However, no matter how busy life gets, our marriage is a top priority. Brett and I are a team. We are ONE. Forever and always! I love this life we have created together, and I couldn't thank Him enough for blessing us with one another. He knew we needed each other; He knew we would bring out the best in each other, and for that I am forever grateful.
"She is far more precious than rubies. She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future." Proverbs 31
"God is with her; she will not fall." Psalm 46:5
For our sweet Sophia Grace's room, we picked out these two bible verses. Our girl has such a strong love for the Lord. She is bold, brave, and she knows who He has created and called her to be. As a mom, it's amazing to witness such confidence in her faith at such a young age. It brings tears to my eyes. The happiest, happy tears. We are so beyond blessed to call her ours! Our first baby. We love her so much.
" The Lord will keep you from evil, He will keep you safe. He will protect you as you come and go, now and forever." Psalm 121:8
For our Noah we picked Psalm 121:8. Noah is our sweet soul. We love how gentle, kind, and loving he is. We can't wait to see what the Lord has in store him. We know it is something so unique to him and special. The Lord will be with Noah wherever he goes in this life. We love him to death, and we are beyond blessed for this sweet boy.
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened or discourages, for the Lord God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
Our miracle, Oliver! He is our spunky and wild child. He lights up a room when he walks in with his infectious and contagious personality and is just a beautiful soul. For Ollie's room we went with Joshua 1:9, to remind him to always remain STRONG! (Like Hulk!) The funniest and CUTEST thing: I read out loud a couple of the Bible verses and he picked this one because the word "Strong".. he flexed his muscles and said "I STRONG! I HULK-MAN!" We are so blessed for him. We love our Ollie Bollie!
"And you shall love the Lord God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." John 8:32
We picked John 8:32 for our precious baby Theodore's room. I wish we would of snapped a picture with Theo in his room and Bible verse, but he was asleep during this. And you know what they say... never wake a sleeping baby!! Let that baby rest, and that is what Mama follows. Anyway, we are so beyond blessed for our precious Theodore. Theodore completes our family, and he was a gift sent from up above. Our goal for him is to learn to know the Lord and have a relationship with Him. If he does just that, we have succeeded at life. That's what it is all about. We thank Him every day for this precious angel he has blessed us with. We love him forever.
"You will be blessed when you come in; and blessed when you go out."
Deuteronomy 28:6
At our entryway, right next to our front doors we picked Deuteronomy 28:6. As Christians we are called to serve others and to share His word and inspire others to know the Lord. My goal in life is to bless those who come into our home with love and compassion. I want people to feel welcomed in our home. Loved, not judged. Our home is a safe place for everyone, and this home is filled with not perfect people, but people who aspire to be like Him.
" For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God."
Hebrews 3:4
Our kitchen is the heart of our home. This is where we gather in the mornings to start our day off. This is where we reunite together at dinner time after our long and busy days. This is where we say grace and thank Him for everything. For life, for our health, and for each other. On our main kitchen island frame, we picked Hebrews 3:4. We owe it all to HIM. I have said it once and I will say it again. All glory to God.
