     As a mother, I want the absolute best for my children. Rather that being what I feed them on a day to day basis to what products I use on them. One thing is for sure: there must be that trust between the brand, retailer, and I. Since the very beginning of my motherhood journey I have always used and trusted JOHNSON’S® on both Sophia Grace and Noah. With the help of Walgreens, I was able to do so. 

     I will never forget the first couple months of becoming a first time mother to Sophia Grace.  It was so wonderful although, I was concerned about every little thing since I was a new mother. I remember when she was just 6 months old, she caught a bug and had a high fever and a cold. After attending the emergency room, they sent us home and advised us to get some over the counter medication to keep her fever down. Right down the street from our home is a Walgreens. I will never forget how nice the pharmacy was to me. Being a concerned mother, I was in a rush and a bit on edge, just wanting to take care of my baby ASAP.  The pharmacist calmed me down and assured me everything was going to be okay. He walked me through all the steps, and I will never forget that feeling of comfort I had. Since that night, I have continued to go to Walgreens for all of our medical/life needs!

     JOHNSON’S® is apart of our everyday routine in our home. We end each and every day with this brand, and honestly JOHNSON’S® has been apart of memories that I will cherish for a lifetime. Each night we have bath time and get ready for bed. I use JOHNSON’S® Baby Bedtime Bath & JOHNSON’S® Baby Calming Shampoo - I prefer these before bedtime since they are clinically proven to help improve baby's sleep with soothing, natural, and calm aromas.  

     Once both of my children are all clean, I lather them up with JOHNSON’S® Baby Lotion and we read a book to sleep! As laying there all cuddled up and cozy with my babies, I smell this amazing, clean, and refreshing scent. This is the one scent I will never get sick of and will always crave. As soon as I smell it on my babies, it takes me back to when they were newborns and so many precious memories.      JOHNSON’S® has been around for 100 years. I know my mother used it on me and my siblings! Although it's always been great, it is new and improved. The Robinson Residence Turns One! | Blogiversary Celebration

Wow! It's been one year since I pushed "publish" and launched The Robinson Residence.  Today, I am celebrating one year of this adventure called blogging. When I first started, I had no idea this is where I would be within my 1st year of blogging. I am so proud of myself. I can say that, right? Seriously. Blogging has made me grow so much as a person. I've become more business savvy, which honestly prior to blogging I knew nothing about the business world much less creating my own brand. 

     I've learned to really work hard for what I want. Nothing comes easy and nothing comes over night. This I know. My goals are growing day by day. Each time I achieve a goal, I make a new one. Constant self growth, we can all improve, all the time. This is just the beginning for me and I can't wait to see where I will be in 5 years from now. I am going to take it day by day, and tackle each goal one by one.

     I couldn't have accomplished what I have this first year without all of you. All of the amazing supportive girlfriends I have made, and all of my followers/readers. You guys motivate me more than you know. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Noah's First Farm

     My little boy is 1 year old. I can't believe it! Time flies. I have been planning Noah's first birthday party since he was 6 months old. Let's be real! I love decorating parties and planning events. It is so much fun and rewarding to see my vision come to life. Especially when it's for my babies!
     For Noah, I went with a "Farm" theme birthday party. This theme just screams "little boy" to me and is simply adorable.  I love all the cow print, bandanas, green tractors, and farm animals! His birthday is in the heat of the Summer, so of course a petting zoo had to be involved and a blow up kiddie pool for all of his friends. So did Mama's homemade birthday cake ice cream! It was the perfect sweet treat for all of the kiddos and adults.
     Instead of gifts, we asked everyone to bring a hand written/sealed letter to Noah that we will place in a time capsule for him to open up on his 18th birthday.  We did the same thing for Sophia Grace. I adore this idea because honestly, they are not going to remember or appreciate gifts when they're just 1 year old, but when they're 18 and read who was all at their 1st birthday- that will be something special. I place these in a box along with some memorbilias from the party, so he can have a part of his 1st birthday!
     Noah's 1st birthday party was such a special day. I will cherish this day for the rest of my life! I love my sweet baby boy so much. Happy 1st birthday, sonshine!!
