A Little Girl Christmas

Miss Sophia Grace is dreaming of a Pink Christmas! This is one of my absolute favorite Christmas traditions, decorating my babies tree's with them. I started this tradition Sophia Grace's 1st Christmas(Last year), and it is something I look forward to year round!
Sophia Grace's room is elegant, sophisticated, and classic. Of course, her tree is too! I love for everything to match and tie a pretty bow so obviously, her tree is going to match her room. Her tree is flocked, which is absolutely gorgeous and brings out the white. I decided to go with light pink, white, and silver ornaments. The ornaments are very little girl, and a few sparkly pink ball ornaments.I placed the pearl berry spray's throughout her tree as well, they are so classic. The ribbon is my favorite part, it is glittery and allows for the perfect pop against her velvet grey curtains. P.s- her FAVORITE ornament is her ballerina. I am so happy we captured a moment of her with it up above!
Beside her tree, I placed her princess nutcracker. I love nutcrackers so much. I found this one last year at HomeGoods, and when I saw it, I had to get it for her. It screamed "SOPHIA GRACE", not to mention goes perfectly with her room & decor!
Sophia is currently 22 months, almost 2 years old! This year, she was able to help mommy decorate her tree, and it melted my heart. Moments like these mean the world to me, and I live for making memories with my babies that I will cherish for a lifetime.
I live for my babies and will always hold these memories close to my heart. Christmas is such a happy time, but it's even happier when you have your little ones to share them with.
Merry Christmas!

Eggnog + Peppermint Ice Cream...

Happy Monday lovelies! I hope everyone has an amazing start to their week. Today marks the ONE WEEK count down until Christmas! Can you believe it?! The thought of all of our family over at our house celebrating the birth of Jesus and enjoying each others company gets me SO excited, I can hardly wait!
Growing up, I was always surrounded by family. I am so blessed to have had and STILL have a family that is very tight knit. Not only do I get to have that, now my kids do. My entire family lives here in Houston and so do Brett's parents and great grandma, it is such a blessing for both Sophia Grace and Noah to ba able to have that.
Cooking can be overwhelming on Holidays, but I wouldn't want it any other way. Dessert is always a must, right?! We always have more than one option, but my absolute favorite dessert option just happens to be the easiest plus the perfect & classic holiday dessert. There's no way I couldn't share it with you!
I picked this recipe up from my Nana Morris.  ALL you really need is Eggnog & Peppermint ice cream...pretty simple right? These 2 simple ingredients combined create an amazing, festive and no cook dessert! I always add a little candy cane on the side, just making it more pretty!
I hope you guys try this easy & delicious dessert for the holidays! If you happen to, let me know how much you loved it!!

It's a Very Merry MacKenzie Childs Christmas

I am so excited to finally be sharing our Christmas tree with you guys! I typically always do a "white Christmas" in our household. I think all white is so elegant & pretty. Although, this year I wanted to switch it up and add a pop of red, yet still make it very elegant & classic. I am beyond happy with the turn out and I am so thrilled I decided to try something new.
I decided that this year's theme was going to be inspired by MacKenzie Childsit's going to be a very Merry MacKenzie Christmas! I am a courtly check kind of girl. I think the combination of black & white check is beyond classic and timeless.
As you can see, I used the classic & signature courtly check ribbon throughout the tree. Besides just using that, I wanted to add something a little more, making it very festive and adding different textures. I decided to also throw in the MacKenzie Highland Ribbon. You guys, this ribbon is so gorgeous. It still gives off that Mackenzie vibe with the courtly check on the sides, then gold lining, red velvet, and plaid in the middle. Does it get anymore Christmas than that?! I don't think so.
I go with a certain theme every year, so my ornaments have to match. Almost always, the base color is white. Majority of my ornaments are white and silver, and I added a pop of red in there for this year( The 3 faux poinsettias being the main pop). To tie my MacKenzie theme together, I added a few Courtly Check Ball Ornaments in the tree as well.
Our Christmas tree is 9 foot, flocked, and yes... artificial.  It is 100% a personal preference. Growing up, we always had real Christmas tree's and yes they do give off an amazing scent in the house. But, that's what Bath& Body Works wall plug ins are for, right?! Ha! My family and I still go to the tree farm and experience that, we just don't have to take one home, put it up, then bring it back down, only throw away in the trash. So artificial, just works better for us. We found our tree at Hobby Lobby last year (our 1st Christmas in our house) and we got an amazing deal on it. Below I linked a couple other options for you guys! Also, our tree skirt is a grey faux fur from Nicole Miller. I found ours at HomeGoods last year, but I found a very similar one at Pottery Barn.
Now, we couldn't forget the big bow topper or the presents under the tree could we?! For this bow, I made it as big as I possibly could, ha! I wanted the Bow to be the main focus of red, with a little touch of Mackenzie. Then, the presents were wrapped all in red, white, silver, and plaid wrapping paper matching the tree's ornaments and ribbon. The little plaid bow wrapped on the silver and red boxes really allowed for the plaid in the MacKenzie Highland Ribbon to stand out and pop, which was the whole point!
I hope you guys enjoy our Christmas Tree. Merry Christmas!
Stay tuned for Sophia Grace & Noah's Christmas tree's.

Christmas with Janie and Jack: Plaid Party

Happy Holidays! I am so honored and excited to be partnering with Janie and Jack - my personal favorite place to shop for children's clothing. Janie and Jack offers luxurious clothing for children sizes 0-12 years old. Janie and Jack is my ultimate go-to whenever I want my kids to be the best dressed and have a show stopping head to toe outfit. I can always rely on them to have amazing choices to choose from for any event, from dressy to casual to elevated playwear; their brand is classic, modern, and timeless.
I have been planning our Christmas pictures for a couple of months and I knew that my babies outfits were going to be from Janie and Jack without a doubt.  Janie and Jack  does such an amazing job at allowing their customers to look put together, in their phenomenal one of a kind outfit pieces.  Their outfits are so unique and remarkable that you are able to spot one from within a crowd. In other words, these outfits are extraordinary. Children's luxury if you will.
Even though Sophia Grace and Noah look sharp in Janie and Jack clothing, they are just kids and it's in their nature to get dirty and act wild. Fortunately, Janie and Jack has covered all areas! Besides being exquisite and offering a classic silhouette, Janie and Jack's fine fabric is high quality and very resilient. What more can you ask for?! Great looks as well as quality, I am sold!
Let's move on and talk about Sophia Grace and Noah's specific outfit details from Janie and Jack. I knew this Christmas I wanted them to be in plaid. Well, what do you know?! Janie and Jack offers a specific holiday collection this season "Plaid Party" which included everything I wanted and more!
When I spotted this adorable Dog Sweater Vest, I knew my baby boy Noah had to have it. It is so adorable and beyond appropriate for a little boy's Christmas. This sweater vest was the main focus of his outfit. To complete the look, I added the adorable Embroidered Dog Bodysuit underneath the sweater, then the Plaid Suspender Pant, which coordinates perfectly with the dog's sweater on the sweater vest, how perfect?! I decided to put him in these classic, traditional Saddle Crib Shoes to add the perfect finishing touch to his dapper look. Not to mention, he even has matching dog socks and of course, this festive gent couldn't go without a matching dog bowtie! Topping this look off, I added this festive and preppy Plaid Cap
I came across this Plaid Bow Cardigan for Sophia Grace and I knew this was going to be part of her outfit, the main focus. I adore the cable knit detailing, it allows for the cardigan to give off a soft and cozy look, then the 2 plaid bows add a precious touch. I paired this Cardigan with this festive tulle Plaid Skirt, this skirt coordinates with the bows on the cardigan perfectly, as it allows for the 2 simple bows to pop and make a simple, yet bold statement. To break up the plaid, I added this classic, beautiful ivory Ruffle Collar Top. The simple little red velvet bow along the ruffled collar allows for the top to tie in with the cardigan and the skirt. The detailing in this top speaks for itself.  I decided to put Sophia Grace in these chic soft Velvet Flats, along with these beautiful ivory Bow Tights. Of course, we can't have a little girl without a bow right?! Not in our household at least. Sophia Grace adores bows, she will remind me when she doesn't have one on. So of course, we went with this precious Plaid Bow Headband to complete this darling, classic look!
Janie and Jack has done it again! The most precious look for my precious babies.

Holiday Host: My Christmas Tablescape...

Hi lovelies! Today, I am so excited to finally be sharing my Christmas tablescape with you. By now, if you have learned anything about me, it's that I absolutely love design & decorating. I decorate our house according to the season and I always start off with our dining room. I love to entertain and host friends & family in our home. We host every holiday, Christmas being my absolute personal favorite! The dining room is where we all gather, therefore the tablescape must always look phenomenal for our guests.
I typically always do a "white Christmas" at our household. I think all white is so elegant & pretty. Although, this year I wanted to switch it up and add a pop of red, yet still make it very elegant & classic. I am beyond happy with the turn out and I am so thrilled I decided to try something new.
I decided that this year's theme was going to be inspired by MacKenzie Childs- it's going to be a very Merry MacKenzie Christmas! I am a courtly check kind of girl. I think the combination of black & white check is beyond classic and timeless. Add a pop of red and a tint of gold with that, you have yourself a rich and  eye-catching combination.
